Workshops

What’s so great about professional development?

Have you ever watched the movie Office Space? If so, then you know the importance of healthy work culture and boundaries. If you haven’t seen it, you’d better go watch it. Right now. I’ll wait…

I’ve always been a firm believer that you should enjoy what you do. Afterall, we spend the majority of our waking hours… well…doing stuff.  Part of being able to enjoy what you do is having the skills to be confident as you do it. As a business, it is also about creating a healthy culture where people feel motivated and empowered in everything they do.

I offer a number of professional and personal development workshops aimed to help businesses, teams, and individuals to do just that.

For Businesses/teams: Workshops are delivered to your group on site or one on one (online, remotely). I can customize or create any workshop to meet your specific needs and can work with any number of participants. Cost will be dependant upon the workshop scope and number of participants.

For Individuals: If you are interested in any of these workshops, please click one of the buttons below to contact me.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) refers to a person’s ability to recognize, understand, manage, and reason with emotions. It impacts many aspects of daily life both at work and in one’s personal life.  Studies have shown that people with higher EQ tend to be rated higher on measures of interpersonal functioning, leadership abilities, conflict resolution, empathy, and stress management (to name only a few).  Emotional Intelligence is a valuable skill that can be improved with training and practise.

Target Audience:

This workshop is suitable for individuals looking to improve their EQ. It is also helpful to supervisors who are supporting team members in improving their EQ.

STRENGTHS-BASED TEAMS

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid” – Albert Einstein

Do you know the difference between a deficit-based environment and a strengths-based one? Chances are, if you feel engaged, empowered, and generally happy, then you are in a strengths-based environment. A constant focus on deficits (or weaknesses) can rob individuals and organizations of the opportunity to excel in areas of productivity, morale, and overall satisfaction. This applies to both your personal and/or professional life.

This workshop will provide an overview of all 34 strengths as identified by CliftonStrengths. Each participant will receive a customized report of their top 5 strengths. It is incredibly helpful for teams to experience this workshop together as we will discuss ways in which the unique combination of strengths can work together to create a more productive, empowered, happy environment.

Target Audience:

This is an introductory workshop for those who want to understand their natural talents and how to develop them into strengths.
